Retail signage for 4th & Reckless, Selfridges

Carousel Lights were appointed to supply the 4th & Reckless retail signage for Selfridges, Manchester

On 8th June 2026, Manchester-based womenswear brand 4th & Reckless launched it’s first concept store in Selfirdges, Manchester. Designed in collaboration with interior design agency Jolie, Carousel Lights were honoured to be asked to supply the branded retail signage for this outlet.

Builtup illuminated 4th & Reckless sign – construction method

The look and feel of the signage was that of a timeless builtup brushed stainless steel with an illuminated face. To achieve that, at the required size of 2000mm (w) x 132mm (h), letters were built with a strokewidth of 17mm or 15mm depending on the specific character. Each was 50mm (d) and had 10mm white foamex backs with 50mm long threads for mounting directly to the wall.

Internal Warm White 3000K illumination was created using high-efficiency LEDs with the light emanating through an opal acrylic face.

These letters are extremely high quality and made in Britain, meaning the impact on the environment is as minimal as possible – something we all strive to achieve with the aim of leaving our planet in a better place than we found it.
