Carousel Lights were asked to supply custom lightbox signage for Conrad Athens The Ilisian

The brilliant Worldwide Kids approached Carousel Lights and asked us if we could supply custom lightbox signs for the Maison Kids Club at Conrad Athens The Ilisian. This is how we did it.

Custom Lightboxes

The client had a very clear idea of the look and feel of the lightboxes that they had in mind, meaning the design process was relatively quick once a typeface had been decided upon.

All the lightboxes were produce at 400mm (w) x 250mm (h) x 80mm (d), the only difference between the eight of them being the text on the face and whether or not they were to be wall-mounted or supplied with eyelets on the top edge for suspension.

Once the boxes has been powdercoated satin RAL1002 SAND YELLOW, warm white LED modules were inserted inside and then 3mm opal acrylic faces with the appropriate matte black graphics were applied.

Conrad Athens The Ilisian

Now reimagined as Conrad Athens The Ilisian, this celebrated landmark enters a new chapter, blending its rich architectural heritage with contemporary luxury. Formerly the Hilton Athens, the building was designed by Greek architects Emmanuel Vourekas, Prokopis Vassiliadis, Anthony Georgiades and Spyros Staikos, opening in 1963 as the city’s first international chain hotel. Its marble façade, adorned with monumental reliefs by renowned Greek artist Yiannis Moralis, remains one of Athens’ most recognisable examples of post-war modernist architecture.
