Back illuminated 3D signs – also commonly known as halo signs and back lit signs – are a really cost-effective way of bring your logo, letters or design to life as an impactful sign. With a whole range of materials available to create the design, and then an equally wide range of illumination options, your signage project is in safe hands with Carousel Lights.
From our significant experience producing halo signage, we find that whilst clients already know what design they’d like – most commonly their logo or lettering – they don’t know what it can be made of. We can advise on the best options for your particular design, but the materials we most commonly use are built-up metal letters with backlit illumination as well as more simple options such as foamex.
If you want halo illumination logos incorporated into a lightbox, then we can produce a ‘push-through’ lightbox whereby the lightbox is internally illuminated with LEDs, enabling light to emit from the sides of the design. Our Ultra product is another option that we often use, which is produced from solid internally-illuminated opal acrylic, where we block off the face and sides with paint or vinyl, so give a halo illumination.
A wide range of colour options are available for our back lit signs. From classic cold white and warm white illumination through a range of static LED colours including Blue, Purple, Orange and Pink. We can also RGB illumination, giving you the ability to change the colour yourself, but just bear in mind that this will increase the cost as you will then need different LEDs and an RGB controller.
As well as halo illumination, we can also offer our Neon Ultra® product with both halo and side illumination, meaning the face of the letter doesn’t emit any light, but the side does illuminate as well as rear-projecting illumination. As with the other options, we can offer this in any colour light.
Many clients like their backlit lettering to go straight to the wall, but if that’s not possible for any reason then we can supply your design as single halo sign, with all of the elements pre-mounted to a metal tray. This is a very neat and simply way of achieveing an extremnely impactful yet great value, back lit sign.
As with any signage option, there are extra details that need to be considered to ensure that your halo signage is suitable for your specific use. Key considerations to make include;
How long does the power cable need to be that will connect from the power supply to the sign?
What colour does your power cable need to be?
How will your backlit sign fix to the wall? We can advise on appropriate options.
