Carousel Lights is a UK lighting company based in Longcross, Surrey. We design and produce stylish Feature Lights for some of the World’s most famous brands. Whether you’ve heard of us or not, you’re sure to have already seen our Neon, Fairground Lights or Lightboxes in Restaurants, Hotels, Offices and High Street windows all over the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing British brand!
Work with our brilliant customers to understand their requirements, propose stunning design ideas and costs, and then to oversee the production and delivery of their lights.
Advise customers on the best lighting options and the most appropriate solution for their needs.
Customers may have an initial idea of what they’d like (eg “a cool neon light for our new office”) or a detailed specification (eg “we need costs for these 23 lights for a new football stadium”), so the ability to adapt to different types of request is important.
Propose design ideas, final specification and associated costs.
Work with designers to bring designs to life and create artwork for manufacture.
Liaise with workshop to ensure lights are produced according to specification.
Confirm sales with customers and agree timeframes based on workshop capabilities and customer deadlines.
Advise customers on the installation requirements of their lights and liaise with 3rd party installers where necessary.
Liaise with Electricians and Installers to advise on technical elements of their lights, such as location of power supply and construction of light.
Arrange delivery of lights to customers and advise customers of their allocated timeslot.
You will have an ability to look at things Practically and Creatively.
One minute you will be talking to a customer about which neon colours will work well with their overall design scheme, and then the next minute you’ll be on the phone to their electrician explaining where the power supply will need to be located and discussing the practicalities of how the light will be mounted to the wall. You’ll be comfortable with both of these conversations.
Great at working under pressure.
Strong communication skills.
Enthusiastic, upbeat and self- motivated.
Enjoy working as part of a small but growing team.
In an ideal World, you’ll have knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop so you can mock up designs and create artwork for production, and you’ll also have previously been working in a Signage/Production role where you had similar responsibilities.
